I just learned today that a survey in the Chronicle of Higher Education says Eastern Connecticut State is one of the top (medium-sized?) universities to work for, and I have to agree it’s the best job I’ve ever had.
Speaking of the university, here’s a slightly blurry picture taken from the desk in my roomy new office. Sure it’s a little grim with the shabby beige carpet and raised basement window, but it’s equipped with a good conference table, plenty of chairs, AC, and two computers, so I’m happy. Next week I’ll unpack my books. Perhaps I should follow Austin Thomas's lead and start an artist residency at the other desk. Anyone interested?
